A little guidance. A more attentive cup.

Learn tea
while actually
drinking it.

Get to know the tea in your cup. Guided tastings help you explore aroma, taste and texture — with time to simply enjoy each sip.

  • Allow about 15 minutes, including brewing
  • No experience needed

The tea is already yours.

Discover a little
more in it.

How it works

A tasting, not a test.

You don’t need the right words.
Just a cup of tea and a little curiosity.

  1. 01

    Bring a tea you enjoy

Your usual tea, hot water and a cup or teapot. Prepare it the way you normally would.

  2. 02

Listen. Or follow along in text.

Short prompts guide your attention, with quiet time between them to put your phone down and taste.

  3. 03

    Leave with an observation

Finish with a little reflection on what stood out. One small thing is enough.

Small things worth noticing

One cup.
Four ways to explore.

We’ll help you separate what you smell, what you taste, how it feels and what remains.

Aroma

What does it remind you of?

Bring the cup closer. Notice what you smell before your first sip.

Taste

What’s in this sip?

Give the tea a moment. Notice the flavours without needing the perfect words.

Texture

How does it feel?

Look beyond flavour. Pay attention to the weight and feel of the tea in your mouth.

Finish

What stays with you?

After you swallow, pause. Notice what lingers and how it changes.

Before your first sip

A few things
you might wonder.

Do I need to know anything about tea?

No. The first session is beginner friendly. You’ll be guided through what to pay attention to, without needing tasting vocabulary or knowledge of tea origins.

What tea and equipment do I need?

Use a tea you already have, hot water and your usual cup or teapot. There’s no special equipment to buy. Brew your tea as you normally would.

Do I have to listen to audio?

You can choose audio or reading on the session page. Audio lets you listen and put your phone down; reading gives you short prompts to follow at your own pace.

Is the first session free?

Yes. Learn to Taste Tea is free to try, with no account or payment details needed. Set aside about 15 minutes for your tea.
